In September 1973, she returned to Pamplona, where she taught at the University of Navarra until her retirement. She held the position of Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters (October 1973 – April 1982) and Director of the Department of Classical Philology (October 1973 – May 2002). This department, along with the rest of the departments of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, had been created at that time.[4] Professor Castillo participated in three of the three departments of the Department of Classical Philology.

Professor Castillo participated in three summer courses organized by the Universidad Internacional Menendez Pelayo in Santander, directed by Manuel Fernández-Galiano; a summer course in El Escorial, organized by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, directed by Antonio Fontán. And finally, he attended a summer course, in Cartagena, organized by the University of Murcia, under the direction of Francisca Moya.

First, the way in which the causality of the desiderative faculty is determined is considered and the maxim is defined as a self-imposed practical rule. Second, an interpretation of the maxim as the description of action, in accordance with the structure of practical reasoning (following the proposal of G. E. M. Anscombe), is proposed. The thesis maintained is that the practical character of Kantian ethics depends on the first-person perspective (appearing in the description of action) and on the notion of moral obligatoriness as a constraint of willing.
