Khalida Jarrar (born February 9, 1963) is a Palestinian politician[1] and left-wing feminist activist[2], a member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council.[2] She was elected to the Palestinian parliament in January 2006 as one of the PFLP’s three deputies[2] and has continued to serve in her position ever since. Following the death of her daughter Suha from a heart attack in July 2021, Israeli authorities denied Jarrar provisional release on humanitarian grounds, a measure she had requested in order to attend the funeral of her daughter Suha, who died of cardiac arrest.[1][2] Jarrar visited her daughter’s grave upon her release, in September 2021.[2] She was released from prison in September 2021.
