La oradora invitada Hallie Thompson compartirá su experiencia como candidata a la Cámara de Representantes de los Estados Unidos y distribuirá recursos para ayudar a los asistentes al seminario a entender las oportunidades y los recursos disponibles para ser más activos políticamente.

Wendy Catherine Burn (Oxford, 1959) CBE FRCPsych is Professor of Psychiatry and President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the United Kingdom. She specializes in old age psychiatry and the treatment of dementia.
Burn was one of the first women to obtain a senior psychiatry post at the University of Leeds in 1990.[4][3] In her first post, she had to work with some of the most underserved communities in Leeds, spending most of her time on home visits. She was appointed chair of the Senior House Officer program in 1995. During this time she became more involved with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, becoming an examiner for the first part of the examination. Her main area of research is dementia and she is a member of national planning committees for dementia care. She was appointed Associate Medical Director for Doctors in Training at the University of Leeds in 2000. She subsequently took over the second part of the MRCPsych clinical examinations, which required finding psychiatric patients who could be interviewed. Shortly thereafter Burn was appointed Director of the Yorkshire Old Age Psychiatry Training Program.
