The Walking Dead en español starts January 20 on
The Walking Dead has big plans for the future. The end of the original series is near, after many ups and downs, loss of audience and changes of protagonist, the adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comic book series comes to an end on television. But that ending is just a see you later, because AMC has tons of spinoffs in the works to expand the universe of these living dead to other unexplored paths. We’ll have a series focused on Maggie and Negan, another on Daryl Dixon, another on Michonne and Rick and, just this August, Tales of the Walking Dead, an anthology series with six stories made up of diverse groups of survivor protagonists.
Certainly one of the ones we are most looking forward to, as it will feature Negan and Maggie, two iconic characters who have been united throughout The Walking Dead by grief, loss and redemption. It is undoubtedly the most innovative spinoff, since it will move the action to a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, where we will see an island full of dead and inhabitants who have turned it into their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty and terror. Intelligent monsters that we will have to face to survive. One more day in the trenches… To be released in 2023.

Tales of The Walking Dead kicks off with a story that sums up the heart of this entire franchise: there’s always hope to cling to and someone who can tear it to shreds in an instant. This is about walking a tightrope and of course, in a world where you can’t even trust your own shadow, there is no preparation for being able to face the challenge of disillusionment.The episode itself is not one of the strongest of this new anthology series, but thanks to its abundant plot twists and the performances of Terry Crews and Olivia Munn, the story is even luminous at times and leaves a message of hope. The “mother series” has given us few, if any, opportunities to travel to the past.Here we adopt the perspective of the moment before the disaster originates and we also have our protagonists plunged into a time loop, a resource very well exploited in films like Happy Die Hard and that here serves to introduce a patina of black humor quite refreshing for this universe, always leaden.Among the greatest virtues of this new chapter: its protagonists. The peaceful atmosphere deteriorates after an event forces the mother to revisit her violent past to protect her daughter. AMC+

After 177 episodes and countless zombie situations, ‘The Walking Dead’ is over. The main series, at least. After the final episode, titled ‘Rest in Peace’, some of our favorite survivors will continue doing what they do best: surviving.
But why is ‘The Walking Dead’ the first to disappear from our screens? And when will Dog get his own spin-off? Here’s everything you need to know about life after death, as far as ‘The Walking Dead’ franchise is concerned.

It sounded like AMC and the team had reached an amicable agreement, deciding together that now was the ideal time to end the series. It makes a lot of sense, considering how long ‘The Walking Dead’ has been on the air. Very few series have surpassed 177 episodes, and it’s better to quit while there’s still demand, than to wait until the moment when everyone has left the series.
